Hello! Oh, it has been a while since my last post...I attribute that to finals, graduation, PROM, and beginning my summer job. Now that I'm in a more relaxed routine, however, it is my goal to blog more often!
For a while now, I've been using Buffy from LUSH to exfoliate after I shave my legs. Although I liked it, when it was finished I decided it was time to try a new product. So I ventured into my nearest drug store and paid a visit to my favourite pink display...that is, the Soap & Glory stand!
"Flake Away" is an exfoliating sugar scrub that contains shea butter. After I shave my legs, I apply a small amount to each leg and rub in circular motions. When it's rinsed off, it leaves a moisturizing residue and a lovely sweet smell (for this reason I don't recommend using it anywhere near the face). My legs feel so soft and smooth afterwards!
The packaging is a typical example of Soap & Glory: pink (of course!), with attention-grabbing titles and cute quotes ("It might be fine if your friends are flaky but a lady's legs should never be"). As it's a pot, I find it very easy to scoop out the right amount of product without overdoing it. Simple but effective!
Soap & Glory are a little pricey for a drugstore brand, but their quality makes up for it. This was about $18.00 CAD, and so far has lasted me three months (and I'm only halfway done the pot). Much better than a cheap-o version that lasts for about five minutes!
All in all, a delightful product that I will have no hesitations in re-purchasing. Looks like I've found a permanent addition to my shower routine!
What's your favourite exfoliating product?
